## About Me
I'm a **frontend developer** and **UI designer** focused on web development. My background is in **interactive media design**, and I've worked as a software engineer, developer, web designer, and agency ad designer.
I also have strong interests in writing, sociology and history which I study in my free time.
This the public-facing end of a larger **Personal Knowlege Management** (PKM) system I've been refining over the last few years (explanation below).
See my [[Project Notes]] for an explanation of current personal projects.
### What is PKM?
I keep this **zettelkasten ("slipbox")** as a way to process and solidify new learning through note taking, organizing ideas into topics, and eventually developing them into permanent nodes of inter-connected ideas, forming an intentional **mind map** that reinforces connections between ideas.
The published notes available here represent a small fraction of a much larger project which I undertook in 2020 in order to help me develop a new way to study. It now contains thousands of interconnected ideas, reading references, written articles, and permanent research projects.
Many others have helped me understand this powerful idea and I hope more will learn! This is a permanent, evolving, [[⏶ Obsidian Process 2023|work in progress]].
